John Abene | Owner/President
John has over 30 years of direct residential construction experience as a professional builder in New Jersey. He began his career in construction management building single family homes in Ocean County working for local homebuilding companies, then soon applying his experience to forming partnerships who went on to develop thousands of homes throughout New Jersey. John’s vision continues as the company redevelops in several municipalities with many world-class communities under construction.


Michael Abene | Owner/Project Manager
Michael joined Highview Homes in 2008 to work under his fathers tenure and now has over 10 years experience managing the construction activities required in residential construction. Michael began his career in 2006 with Patriot Homes in New Jersey and oversaw scheduling the first trade to completion and occupancy—the execution of an 88 unit condominium community. Today, Michael oversees some of Highview’s largest apartment and mixed use developments throughout New Jersey. He has recently become a Licensed Real Estate Agent in support of Highview Real Estate, LLC.


Jim Smith | Owner/Partner
Jim began his career as a planner, representing over 25 municipalities throughout New Jersey in 1978. He went on to prepare development plans for the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection. Over the past 32 years, Mr. Smith built a solid reputation in high-level positions and consultancy roles within the home building industry throughout New Jersey, Connecticut and Florida. His areas of expertise are in site selection, land acquisition, design and approval process for the development of single family and multi-family developments. Jim partnered with Highview Homes in 2008 to oversee and manage the land acquisition, development permit/approval process—constructing thousands of single family and multi-family residences throughout New Jersey.


Stephen Bradach | Director of Operation
Mr. Bradach, a 1995 graduate of Rutgers University with a B.A. in Economics, began his construction career in 1988 where he served as Project Manager for a local NJ Builder. He then went on to hold various high-level positions managing the development and construction of over 2,000 rental and for-sale communities throughout New Jersey. As a member of Highview’s team from its inception, Stephen currently manages the day-to-day operations and oversees sub-contracting, budgeting, employees and accounting.


David Gunia | Director of Development
Besides land acquisition and development, David works with all team members, vendors and community officials to ensure the proposed development is consistent with the goals of the redevelopment plan. David earned a BS Civil/Construction Contract Management from N.J.I.T., an AAS Civil Engineering at Middlesex County College and is a graduate of Monroe Township H.S. Mr. Gunia has worked for some of the areas most prominent homebuilders and real estate developers, including K. Hovnanian Homes and Paramount Properties. Additionally, David procured development approvals for a 36,000SF medical campus for Centra State Hospital Systems, a 1500 ton/day solid Type C&D transfer station, and 156 apartments in Paterson, NJ. His experience working with mixed use, single and multi-family projects lends itself to Highview’s overall mission in becoming one of the areas premier developers.


Raymond LePree | Administrative + Accounts
Ray’s 20+ years of accounting experience lends itself to the Highview Homes internal executive team’s day-to-day success. In his early accounting career, Mr. LePree developed skills in customer service, job costing, corporate tax preparation, gross profit percentage regulation and inventory replacement. After a brief move to the food industry, Raymond returned to accounting and joined Highview Homes in 2014. With a vital role in Highview’s internal team, Ray works directly with outside vendors, banks and JVP’s in the  areas of accounts payable, payroll and daily administrative needs.
